Every 2 hours, someone in the UK sustains a spinal cord injury. Their world – and that of their family – is turned upside-down. SIA aim to reach everyone affected by spinal cord injury, to connect them to all the help and support they need to life a fulfilled life.

Story

At least I beat Lorraine Kelly and that caterpillar!

I think I can safely conclude that disregarding the training plan, ignoring hip & knee pain, and a maximum long run of 14 miles is a rubbish way to prepare for a marathon.
It only hurt a bit.....

I can also say that I doubt I would have finished without all your kind words and financial encouragement so a huge THANK YOU to everyone for your support

(I was only 28 minutes behind Iwan Thomas and he is a proper runner, 5 years younger & a bloke)

Many thanks
Kxx

(4:47 if you must know...)

Well there are 4 weeks to go.......

My left knee is crumbling ahead of schedule and I look more like a borg with each passing week......
You may wish to wait & check that I finish this year before donating!

As long as I beat Jordan's 7 hours 11min (or I will give you the money back)

Ho hum - my comfy sofa looks very inviting
More brufen please
LOL Kxx

Slumped on the comfy sofa watching FLM 2008 I thought  ' I can do that - probably!!'

So having finished one marathon, it seems only right to do a bit of fundraising before my knees crumble to dust

Please help me raise some money to improve the lives of spinal cord injured people and motivate me (especially on cold wet winter runs) on my endless quest for a racing snake physique

With those immortal words - it seemed like a good idea at the time...
