Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I took up cycling in August 2013 as a way to lose weight and get fit. I knew that the winter weather might deter me from my aim of losing 5 stone by this summer so I signed up for two Etape to keep me focused and ensure I went out in the rain! In the last 8 months I have lost 4.5 stone, can cycle up hills which I used to walk up and I have met a great bunch of people through joining the Kinross Cycling Club.

Etape Loch Ness is a new addition to the Etape calendar and covers 67 miles around the beatuiful countryside of highland Scotland - there are also several hills! Etape Caledonia is a well established cycle challenge in Scotland covering 83 miles of Perthshire again through breathe-taking country side and you guessed it more hills.

I wanted to make sure that others benefited from all my hard work and enjoyment so decided to get sponsorship for my Etapes. I chose Erskine Hospital as I have a history with the British Army through Great-Grandparent, Grand parent, Father-in-law and now my Son. I hope you argee that the folks at Erskine Hosptial do a fantastic job for our veterans and by sponsoring me to keep going with my fitness training and complete the Etapes you will be helping Erskine Hospital with their great work.

Please give as much as you can, knowing I'm raising money for a great cause will keep me going when I hit the hills and bring an even bigger smile to my face when I'm whizzing down the other side.
