Hello all my lovely friends and family,
In October 2011, I will be climbing the 19,340 ft in for Caring Matters Now, a charity set up by my friend Jodi.
Jodi was born with a rare skin condition called Congenital Melanocytic Naevus. For the first 15 years of her life she was led to believe that she was the only person to suffer from this rare condition and endured over 30 painful operations. At the age of 15 Jodi came into contact with a doctor at who was able to identify the condition and asked her to support other sufferers of CMN. At 18, Jodi set up the charity Caring Matters Now which raises funding for medical research in to the condition and which offers support to over 200 families who suffer from CMN in the . Jodi will call me a total ‘meff’ ( slang) for saying this but she is truly one of the most inspirational people I have ever met.
Caring Matters Now must raise £45,000 each year for much needed medical research at GOSH. This climb is to help raise money towards the CMN medical research.
I have paid for the cost of this trip so all money raised will go directly to the CMN sponsorship funds. I have to raise £2430 by August 2011 so please please please HELP!!
If you decide to support me please gift aid your donation as the nice tax people will donate an extra 20 per cent to the charity.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer.
THANK YOU so much for your sponsorship. It is much appreciated by both myself and Caring Matters Now.
Love Kirsten x
