Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As most of you know, I'm going to be spending 3 months in September this year working for a charity called VESL – Volunteers for Educational Support and Learning http://www.vesl.org/. VESL is a UK charity that provides short, mid and long term volunteering opportunities in Sri Lanka, India and Thailand.
I’m going to be living and working in an orphanage in Andhra Pradesh - South India. The role involves supporting English teachers within 3 local schools during the school day and running after-school clubs in the orphanage as well as generally helping to care for the children as many will be disabled or HIV positive… and I need your help.
To cover the costs of this project, I need to fundraise £1350 which will go directly towards the charity. I think we all know that I’m not the marathon-running type so, drastic as it may seem, I’m going to be shaving off my hair. Yes, that’s right, the whole lot is coming off. I say 'whole lot' I'm not using a BIC razor as I'm going to be in 35 degree heat and, well, I'm not THAT stupid. So it'll be a clippers jobbie.
But anyway, I need you to sponsor me first!
