I have wanted to do something big for charity for a while now but didn't fancy a marathon or jumping out of a plane...So instead I decided to take part in Tough Mudder...arguably, the toughest challenge on the planet!?

On November 18th 2012 I will be taking part in the 12 mile run/assault course designed by the military that includes 30 obstacles through mud, fire, ice... you get the gist, and if you didn't here is a short video #mce_temp_url# 

UPDATE: Aug 2012: I have signed up for Men's Health Survival of the Fittest which takes place TWO weeks before Tough Mudder, as a 'warm up'. I am actually crazy!? http://www.mhsurvival.co.uk/manchester.html Please give generously as November 2012 isn't going to be pretty! 

I decided to do this for Macmillan Cancer Support. The Macmillan nurses in my mind are angels sent from above. The work they do is amazing. I have never had first hand experience but from what I see and hear, I know if me or any of my family and friends were affected by cancer, I would want Macmillan to turn to.
