The brain is the most complex organ in our body. It controls our emotions, senses and actions. So when it breaks down, we break down. We fund the best research to discover the causes, develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected. Let’s unite to accelerate progress. Today.

Story

My name is Kirsty Scotter, And I am about to take on the biggest challenge of my life so far- cycling solo across America. But as challenges go, it is nothing compared to what some people face each and every day.

This charity is very close to my heart for a number of reasons, and with your help I would love to raise as much money for them as possible! My mum sadly passed away due to a brain hemorrhage when I was a baby, I know my thoughts of her will keep me pedaling hard as well as a close family friend of mine Rosie Staunton. Only 3 weeks before her 4th birthday Rosie suffered a brain haemorrhage and was left brain damaged. In August 2013 a tumour was found in Rosie's brain and she was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4. She is such a lovely, beautiful girl and anything that can be done to help Rosie and other's in similar situations would mean a great deal, which is why I have chosen such a fantastic charity to raise money for!
