Cancer is something that can strike at any time and is one of the most painful journeys any individual can go through. I personally know people (including friends and family) affected by cancer either directly or indirectly. 

I feel passionately about fundraising for The Christie Cancer Center to help them treat more patients, advance their research and find a cure for cancer. 

Why do a fast? I've chosen a water fast to push myself both mentally and physically. I believe fasting is beneficial in a spiritual sense and is symbolic of turning away from worldly and selfish desires. This fast is relatively short and I am privileged to be doing it by choice.
