The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

On the 31st of March 2014, my friend Annabel and I will be taking part in Leeds RAG Jailbreak, a charity hitch-hike for both Macmillan Cancer Support and the Make a Wish Foundation.

Leeds RAG Jailbreak is where we try and get as far away from Leeds in 36 hours by blagging, begging and doing whatever we can to raise money for charity without spending any in the process. People in the past have managed to blag there way to New York! Have a look at the video from last year >> http://leedsrag.org.uk/hitches/jailbreak/

This is our page for Macmillan Cancer Support, we have chosen to fundraise for Macmillan as they support not only those diagnosed and suffering from cancer but also look after family members and those close to the patient. They provide care through nurses and additional specialist health workers, alongside counselling, offerring advice and generally someone else to turn to in times of need...

Money that Macmillan Cancer Support raises goes to paying for a Macmillan nurse, providing information and documentation to those suffering, paying for additional equipment making someone's life easier and less stressful during treatment, helping to run information centres, coffee mornings and counselling sessions for those affected by cancer.
