Hello, myself (Kitty) and three other sixth form students (Avalon, Constance and Abi) are raising money for a sponsored walk around the coastal path of the Isle of Wight. Please follow the link to my team page where there is information about the walk and the other team members.
We are raising money in aid of Cancer Research UK, a charity that is very close to all of our hearts - in the hope of changing people's lives close to us. We wish to raise as much money as possible, starting off at a target of £500, ultimately hoping to raise £1000.
The sponsored walk will take place in the Isle of Wight this summer (2012) around the end of June/ beginning of July (dates will be confirmed soon). The walk will take us about five days to complete in five long sections, stopping at well known and beautiful destinations such as Bembridge and Shanklin. The route will follow the coastal path around the entire island with us carrying all of our supplies, kit AND looking after two dogs!
Your donation will mean that we can support friends and relatives through Cancer Research UK, providing the funds to look into new ways of treating and curing some cancers. This will improve the quality of many people's lives who go through the everyday suffering of their disease. With your support we can help to change this.
