I started running a year and a half ago when my close friend Cheryl was diagnosed with breast cancer and asked me to do the 5k Race for Life with her. At the time, I couldn't run continuously for 1 minute, so this was quite a challenge. 

A year and a half, a 5k Race for Life and a 10k Race for Life later, and I'm now all signed up for the Swansea half marathon this summer.

I need to raise at least £300 to earn my charity place.

Every run I do makes me think of my beautiful friend Cheryl, who is now, thankfully cancer free. Cancer Research is a fantastic charity and long may they continue their amazing work.
