Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit Kola's JustGiving page.

Kola passed away peacefully in his sleep on 24th October 2009 at the young age of 25. Even though he is no longer with us he memory lives on and we kindly ask you to donate to Football Unites Racism Divides (FURD) in his loving memory.

Kola was a fanatical football fan. His favourite and life-long team was Liverpool FC. Kola was an excellent footballer himself and during his football career won many trophies and awards. Kola went on to dedicate his football talent in coaching and football charities, in particular FURD. Kola's community work with FURD also involved a project to tackle knife crime and he helped make a DVD on the issue to distribute in schools in Sheffield.

Throughout his life, Kola made a great impression on his peers as he was jovial and fun to be with and managed to build a large network of friends - lots! - from all walks of life, regardless of who they were. He was a gentle giant with a peaceful nature who had a special manner about him with an infectious million dollar smile.

Your donations to FURD will be very much appreciated.
