You never think it will effect you...and then it does. This awful disease destroys too many families and we need to do everything we can to fight it.

There are no words to describe how proud I am of my Nan. She is being so incredibly brave, and has honestly blown all our minds with her determination, positivity and strength.

Unfortunately, a side effect of chemotherapy is hair loss. For some people it is temporary, but for others it's permanent. This can cause severe depression for even the strongest survivors and for this reason I have decided to donate my hair so that someone out there can have a wig made from real hair.

Wig making is extremely expensive and requires a donation of at least 7" of hair. I feel lucky to have such thick hair so I really hope that it helps put a smile on someone's face.

This is a very small thing I can do that might make life a tiny bit more comfortable.I am asking you all to donate what you can, every penny will help.

Nanny, you make me so proud and I only hope that I can be half the woman you are.
