<p>Everyone knows someone who has or has had cancer.&nbsp; As 2012 is my 50th year (stifle the sniggers please) I wanted to do something barmy and for what better cause than this one.&nbsp; This is definately&nbsp;barmy&nbsp;- but it will be brilliant and with your help will raise a lot of money as well.</p> <p>Along with 79 other women of all ages, our cycle challenge starts on the slopes of Mount Kenya, Africa's second tallest peak.&nbsp; This extinct volcano dominates the central Kenyan highlands at 5199m.&nbsp; Then, covering around <strong>400km in 5 days </strong>we will cycle on and off road through deepest Africa.&nbsp; We will encounter savannah plains, game parks, tropical rain forests, traditional villages (hopefully no marauding lions) and enjoy some of Kenya's weird and wonderful sights and then finish on the shores of Lake Victoria.&nbsp;</p> <p>I will be filming the whole trip and so will be able to share it with you all when I get back (fully sensored and bleep enabled of course).&nbsp; I'm well aware that we all receive loads of these requests all year long, so all I can do is ask you to ignore all the others and contribute to this one!&nbsp; Seriously....any contribution, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.</p> <p>Thanks very much for visiting my JustGiving Page - please dig deep as I will be doing next February!!&nbsp;</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
