Lady Allen Adventure Playground is a wonderful activity centre and playground for disabled children on Wandsworth Common in London. It's run by KIDS charity, staffed by part-time Council workers and volunteers but is SERIOUSLY under funded.

This is a cause very close to my heart because through personal experience, I have seen the incredible work Lady Allen does. Disabled children simply don't have access to many activites or opportunities to socialise with other kids that able-bodied children have.

Unfortunately, increasingly tight Council budgets are putting Lady Allen under considerable financial strain - but YOU CAN HELP!

I'm running my first marathon, the Reykjavik Marathon 2012, in support of Lady Allen! Training has been underway for several months with the race day, 18th August, looming ever closer.

The money raised will fund the installation of a Big Bird's Nest Swing (see my gallery for a pic), which the kids will enjoy endlessly!
