Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hi

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I have run for several years but always put off doing a marathon, telling myself numerous reasons not to, such as:

It'll be hard.

26 miles is way too far to run.

Where will I find the time to train?

However having experienced my mum develop early onset dementia I've realised that the amount of meaningful time we have in our lives may not be that long.  So this year I'm doing the London Marathon because:

It'll be hard.

I like to run, so 26 miles is a bonus!

You can always find time to do the things that are important to you.

And with a little help from you I get to raise money for Alzhemier's Society.

Thanks ever so much for your generosity!

Kristy
