Story

My husband often gets these madcap ideas, and he has mad friends who are often up for the challenge - this is one of those ideas and I think it's worthy of some promotion to raise funds for those recently struck by disaster, such as in the Philippines.

Martin Groves and Jules Carter plan to paddle a 100 mile length of the River Wye, from Glasbury to Chepstow . . . in a tandem sit-on kayak!!  The challenge is to complete the journey under 24 hours, i.e. mostly in the dark; and no mean feat if you also bear in mind that a sit on kayak can become a bit uncomfortable after about 24 minutes, in my experience.

I too have a part to play in this challenge as 'ground support' throwing them snacks and flasks of strong coffe to keep them going for the 100 miles.
