My story

 

At the start of August 2006, six brave souls are travelling to the mystical island of Gotland in Sweden, to take part in the Kubb World Championship.

Well you may ask what Kubb is, and the answer is not simple; its origins are shrouded in the mists of time. We played it for the first time with less than a month to go before the tournament, and it seems to involve throwing sticks of wood around the countryside to knock over other bits of wood.

We are the only British team entering this prestigous competition, and as such are well aware that we have a great responsibility to do you proud. We hope to return having not only improved international relations between the noble nations of Britain and Sweden, but also as the winners of what could be the toughest competition in the Baltic Sea.

In the meantime, please show your support by giving to our chosen charity, Breakthrough Breast Cancer. We've set ourselves a bit of an ambitious fundraising target, the only way we'll get there is by making sure as many people as possible know what we're up to - please please spread the word!

Please also bear in mind that the more people who sponsor us, the more likely it is that in years to come a film will be made of our epic adventure starring Keanu Reeves, Val Kilmer, or at the very least the Will Mellor.
