Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This is the first big sponsored event I've decided to do. I've done a couple of Santa Dash runs for mencap Cymru and come second in both of them :(

Mencap Cymru does some great work and supports as many people with a learning disability as they can with the money that they get. Both my parents work and volunteer for Mencap Cymru and through them I've been able to meet and make friends with lots of people with a learning disability who live in my town and throughout Wales.

The money that I raise will help go towards Mencap Cymru's campaign against learning disability hate crime. Last year a boy with a learning disability, same kind of age as me (I'm 16 ) was tied up by a group of youths and pushed into a phone box which was then set alight. This should never happen and I want to try and help stop it.

So I'm going to cycle 505 miles from Pontypridd to Brive in the south of France to raise as much money as I can.

In 1997 when I was 1 year old, rugby teams Brive and Pontypridd were involved in a fight on the pitch, people call it the Battle of Brive. We are going to cycle to Brive and watch their last match of the season on Saturday 27th April 2013.
