Story
Well, we did it! 54 miles to Brighton (plus a bit more cycling to and from the start) and back in the office for the Longest Day, and it's starting to feel like it! Blog post to come here: http://blog.justgiving.com, photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/justgiving/ and

Just completed a 50-odd mile training ride... It was only meant to be 32. Took some video footage, which I'll upload after the weekend - Alex
Here at JustGiving some of us have decided to put our feet where our mouths are (we're more used to putting our feet in our mouths) and have signed up to the British Heart Foundation's London to Brighton Bike Ride 2010.The thing is, we're far from a crack team of cyclists. We're just a group of people with sedentary jobs facing a 54 mile bike ride and we're going to need all the support we can get!
'Cycling 54 miles, even at a leisurely pace should not be taken lightly' - London to Brighton Bike Ride 2010 Ride Guide
Some are putting in last minute training, others are hoping to get by on a bike and a prayer, and one fool who shall not at this point be named is planning to do the whole thing single speed!
Why are we doing this? Well, apart from wanting to put our top tips into practice and to have a go with our new iPhone and Facebook apps for ourselves, it's for a good cause. Heart disease is the UK's biggest killer, and together with the 27,000 other people taking part in the ride, we're hoping to help BHF raise over £4 million towards vital research.
