In June 2010, we will be attempting the gruelling London to Paris bike ride of 200 miles in 3 days! Day One will be from London to Newhaven (69 miles); Day Two from Dieppe to Gourney-En-Bray (54 miles) and Day Three from Gourney-En-Bray to Paris (79 miles).
We are undertaking this event to raise money for the charity Action for Children through Loughborough University RAG. Action for Children supports and speaks out for the most vulnerable and neglected children and young people in the UK. Please help us raise our target of £1800 for this worthy cause.
This task is an exciting challenge for us. We are two 50 something year olds and a bike newbie who only learnt how to manage two wheels less than an year ago so we are taking this ride very seriously and training hard with our zippy new road bikes. Of an evening you'll find us at the gym or on the turbo and we've already gone on a 30 mile ride with further rides of 60 miles to get us up to speed.
