<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">Unfortunately due to illness I was unable to run the Wokingham Half Marathon as planned at the beginning of the year. Without wanting to let Emily and Ataxia down I will be running the Bracknell Half instead.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">I've only recently been made aware of Ataxia UK and the wonderful life changing work they do to support families touched by Ataxia, like my dear friends 'The Adams'.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">Their youngest daughter Emily is only 10 and has Ataxia. I could waffle on at this point but just that first sentence is enough surely for us all to want to do something. And that's exactly how I felt.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">'Ataxia' means ‘lack of order’. People with ataxia have problems with movement, balance, and speech. Over 10,000 people in the UK have a form of ataxia. There is currently no cure but Ataxia UK are working to find one every day.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">This is where you lovely people come in..</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">It’s easy!... well.... for <em><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">you</span></em>! I will be running the Bracknell Half Marathon on May the 8th 2011 at 9am (Starting and finishing at South Hill Park, Bracknell for those who wish to come and cheer!) to complete the race for Emily and Ataxia UK.
