Hi there everyone!
I recently visited Leonard Cheshire Disability in Banbury with a group of Japanese students, and was touched by the dedication of the staff there, and the new building that was opened by the Queen providing a lovely environment for the residents to live in is fantastic.
I know a couple of people with family members there, and so when this opportunity arose to jump out of a perfectly decent aircraft all in the name of Charity, I thought "why not?!"
Places like Agnes Court in Banbury are few and far between, and reliant on funds being raised to keep them going, so as the well known supermarket says - "Every Little Helps".
So, this is the plan ..... a sponsored SKY DIVE!
Yes, I am completely mad, and there are those who would question why anyone would want to jump out of a fine plane, but then people who know me well, know I am more than a little crazy, not to mention impulsive! I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, but a little excited, and also greatly surprised, though very thankful, at the generosity I have received so far.
I thought this page might make things a little easier for those who may wish to donate on line.
Thanks a million for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and if you want to come along and support me, feel free!!!
The jump will be taking place on SATURDAY 26th SEPTEMBER 2009 at Weston on the Green, time to be confirmed, but my arrival time is midday.
Hope to see you there (even if I look terrified and am more than a little reluctant!!)
Love Heather xxx
PS I have requested that all funds raised through my jump go specifically to Leonard Cheshire Disability in Banbury, rather than to the charity as a whole.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
