What does your home mean to you?

Our homes provide warmth and shelter and consistency. They are an anchor for our family life and they help to shape our neighbourhoods. Some of us rent and some own, yet across Leeds there are about 27,000 families without a place to come ‘home’ to every day.

The Difference YOU Can Make

£25 buys a blanket. £2,500 fixes a roof. And if you hapen to supply the construction trade, we're looking for windows, doors and other materials, as well as pledges of installation expertise.

We're asking all of Leeds to help us raise an initial £45,000 – an estimate of the amount needed to turn a crumbling empty house into a liveable home – through cash donations and ‘pledges in kind’ from businesses and organisations keen to help with the physical transformation of an empty home.

What it takes to make a House into a Home

£25 buys a warm blanket for a bed
£100 buys a set of pots and pans to feed a family
£500 can buy paint and wallpaper, a dining table and chairs, or a sofa to curl up on.
3 gifts of £500 can turn an unfinished loft into an extra bedroom
£700 can kit out a bathroom with appliances
£1,500 can buy - well, a lot!
