Story

“Phew, nearly there, jeez just a bit further. I must have been at maximum heart rate for ages now, when is this ordeal ever going to end. I’m knackered, I just want it to stop…please stop…please stop”

Sounds familiar for anyone who has done the Fred Whitton Cycle ride (http://www.fredwhittonchallenge.org.uk/) – a 112 mile cycle sportive over all the major passes and finishing over the double whammy of Hardknott and Wrynose.

But no, this is the sound of team leader, David Switzer, as he has his legs waxed before the big race. Oh yes, he takes his cycling very seriously and is prepared to go hair-free to not only improve his time but also encourage people to dip into their pockets and donate to an incredibly worthwhile cause. The whole thing will be filmed so you can be rest assured we are not enticing money from you under false pretences. The rest of us hairy-ar**ed blokes (and Emma) will look on in a mixture of horror and utter hilarity.

Please donate as much as you can and think of us as we slog up various hills with a maximum gradient of almost 1 in 3. Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.
