Fundraising for Sustrans
You may be wondering how far our route is. We’re not exactly sure to be honest, but we know that we’ll be raising our water bottles to salute clocking-up at least 1000 miles in aid of banter, camaraderie, challenge, epic card games, a keenness for regional delicacies, a sense of satisfaction, and a charity called Sustrans.
Sustrans is the 's leading sustainable transport charity, promoting walking and cycling as healthy and environmentally-friendly travel choices. Some of the key projects Sustrans leads on nationally include: * National Cycle Network -- Maintaining and improving 12,000 miles of traffic-free walking and cycling paths, quiet lanes and on-road cycling routes * Local walking and cycling routes -- Making it safer for people to cycle to school, to work, or anywhere * Bike It -- Encouraging school kids to cycle to school * TravelSmart -- Providing people with the information and advice they need in order to adopt more sustainable travel choices For more information about Sustrans, see their website: http://www.sustrans.org.uk/what-we-do Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe; JustGiving won’t sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So please dig deep for an excellent cause. Many thanks, Dan, Eric, Graham, Jon and Mark (Beef, The Real Eric Manners, Puppy, Shroud and Huggy)* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
