Fundraising for Barts Charity
Monotony. I love it. Doing the same thing over and over and over. Like pedalling a bike for 10 hours a day. That’s why cycling from one end of the country to the other isn’t going to be difficult for me. Coupled with my natural level of athleticism, this should be a real walk in the park. I’m in peak physical and mental condition right now. Just this weekend I managed to stare at a wall for 38 hours without blinking. That’s focus for you.
On a serious note, a close friend of mine was tragically killed in a crash involving a LGV (Light Goods Vehicle) last year whilst cycling. I’m raising money for TIGER (Traumatic Injury Group for Education and Research), which is part of BART’S and The London Charity. TIGER is a top trauma unit, carrying out world recognised research. TIGER aims to support a wide range of innovative clinical, laboratory and social studies to improve care for seriously injured patients at the Royal London Hospital.* Charities pay a small fee for our service.
