Imagine the scene.  It’s about 8am on Saturday 29 May, the start of the bank holiday weekend and sensible folk all over the land are lying in bed contemplating a couple of days relaxation.

Well sensible folk, please spare us a thought (or preferably some cash) as we’ll be setting out for a couple of weeks hard graft in the saddle, cycling from to John O’Groats, raising money for The Charlie Ramsey Research Fund.

http://crrf.org.uk/constitution.htm

The Charlie Ramsey Research Fund was set up following the birth of Charlie Grace Ramsey. Charlie was born with Complex Congenital Heart Defects. The condition that Charlie was born with currently has no medical cure.

The Charity's aims & objectives are:

To relieve sickness by supporting research that will benefit babies and children with a single ventricle heart condition and for the public benefit ensuring the publication and dissemination of that research.

To relieve sickness and protecting health by promoting organ donations.

In support of the The Charlie Ramsey Research Fund we’ll be covering over 1000 miles in 12 days – that’s about 80 miles a day – and come rain, shine or strong wind we’ll be grinning and bearing it. So please broaden our grins and make our journey bearable by digging deep to support this good cause!

We are funding the trip ourselves and all money donated goes directly to The Charlie Ramsey Fund.

If you want more idea of exactly what we’re planning – or may be you even want to cheer us off at the start of a day or join us for a beer en route (??) – drop us a line.

Thank you for reading this and Charlie’s story and more importantly for donating all your hard earned cash.
