Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

It is time for us to celebrate!

I have already passed the 60 year marker,  and by the time we set off on our 1000+ mile cycle ride from Land's End to John O'Groats,  Jan will be there as well.

The celebration is 60+ years of good health, happiness and the freedom to live our lives.

It is time for us to put something back!  and what better way than to try to make a contribution to the rehabilitation of those servicemen and women who have been severely injured in the cause of giving us the freedom and safety to live as we do.   If we can help by providing just some of the extras to make life for our heroes that little bit better we shall have achieved our goal.   I have set our target at £10000.00,  and I shall be delighted to raise this with your help and encouragement.

We are not intending to set records,  just to take a long holiday starting in September 2010,  and hopefully seeing much of the countryside,  and meeting interesting people en-route.    We hope to have plenty of tales to tell by the end.

We shall be staying in B & Bs (maybe some will provide a discount which we can then contribute to the cause - please contact us if you know any hostelries that might wish to help) and cycling on our standard bicycles taking all our day to day needs with us.

We shall try to keep this site updated with details of our training for the event,  and will wherever possible update whilst en-route (Internet Cafes willing).

Just 1p per mile is about £10.00,  and to reach our target we shall need at least 1000 sponsors for the ride - please be one of them.

Every penny you donate,  and every mile we cycle will be small in comparison with the sacrifice our heroes have already made for us.  It will however be very thankfully received and put to extremely good use.

Thank you for reading and donating.

Paul & Jan Cope
