Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My husband Stevens NET was very aggressive, relentless and in the end brutal. Chemotherapy didnt even touch it and no matter what operations he had to relieve his pain the tumour just kept on until it took over and there was nothing more could be done for him. It was a very short 6 months since his diagnosis and none of us had any idea that it was going to end as it did. Until Steven was diagnosed we had never heard of NET cancer before and whilst he was suffering from it the only information we could find was information we looked up on the internet so really we had no idea what we were dealing with. We as a family have all agreed that we would have liked to have been better informed at the time and that there is a definate lack of information here in Northern Ireland about this cancer so we have got together with a group of Stevens friends to raise awareness of this disease any way we can! For World Net Cancer Awareness Day we held a Quiz Night to raise funds for the NET Patient Foundation.....we intend to do this each year on 10th November to continue to highlight this cancer here in Northern Ireland as well as across the world.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support and help.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
