Lean On Me Challenge · 29 September 2017

Mental Health UK is here for anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We are made up of four organisations based in each of the four nations of the UK, working together to improve mental health.

Story

Some Old Avengers are a team of 5 LBG workmates currently raising money for Mental Health UK by participating in the Lean on Me Challenge, which for us, consists of a 23 mile walk through the picturesque and somewhat hilly Halifax on the 29th September.  The overall event consists of many teams of LBG colleagues walking 8 different routes
around the country to raise as much awareness and funds as possible.

Living with a mental illness can affect many aspects of your daily life, from your
physical health to your home, your work, family, friends and managing
money.  To put the scale of the problem into perspective; one in four of
us in the UK will be affected by a mental health problem in any given
year.  Early intervention and support is often the key to reduce the
impact of a mental illness and your donation, no matter what the size, will
benefit Mental Health UK and the endless amount of people they support greatly.

Alternatively you can sponsor us by texting LONM96 followed by the amount you wish to donate to 70070 (Example ‘LONM96 £10’).

Thank you very much for your support, it’s for an excellent cause!
