Flora London Marathon 2006 · 23 April 2006 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

I’m Charlie Walduck and two years ago I weighed an incredible 44stone
2pounds. At that time, I could not walk from one room to the next and never
dreamed that one day I would be attempting to run the London Marathon.

During the past two years, I have undertaken a incredible weight loss and
lifestyle change, which has enabled my to lose a staggering 29stone 9pounds.
This weight loss has been due to determination, discipline and regular
exercise.

Having already participated in the Great North Run last year, completing the
London Marathon will be my greatest personal achievement yet – which brings
the added bonus of raising much needed funds for my chosen charity,
Leukaemia Research.

Please donate as much as possible. Many thanks for your support.
