XLP City Basketball · 2 August 2010

Founded in 1996, XLP aims to serve the community by meeting the social, educational and behavioural needs of young people, empowering them to make wise lifestyle choices and to realise their potential. Visit www.xlp.org.uk to find out more.

Story

On August 2nd, 3rd and 4th City Basketball will be transforming the Broadgate Circle into a street Basketball court and will be hosting a tournament to raise funds for ‘XLP’.  LSE's Service Delivery (Hari, Joey and Yuen) are entering again this year, so come along to cheer them on and show your support for the charity by donating on this site.  As well as the tournament, there will be basketball showcasing, entertainment, competitions and more.

XLP (”The eXceL Project”) have been at the cutting edge of urban youth work in the U.K. for over 15 years operating in over 50 schools and estates across inner London, running 1-2-1 mentoring schemes, hosting numerous after-school clubs in local communities and on its double-decker XL-R8 bus facility, and organising an arts showcase programme where young people from across London get to showcase their talents. XLP has a wealth of experience of organising grassroots youth projects all year round and is continually striving to introduce trail-blazing youth initiatives.
