On 6th April 2013 Sarah Groves was tragically murdered on a houseboat in Kashmir.  The devastation and grief caused by this inexplicable event has been indescribable.

Due to Sarah's insatiable love of life however, together with her desire to make a change in the world, and her determination to help as many people as she could, the Sarah Groves Foundation has been set up in Guernsey as a Charitable Trust.  It will focus on Sarah's inspirations and aspirations, which came from art, children, adventure and fitness.  This fund will continue Sarah's legacy, which is all about love, helping others, and achieving ones dreams.  To read more about the foundation and to see where the money will be spent, please visit www.sarahgrovesfoundation.org. 

Under the category of "fitness", a 700 mile bike ride between Guernsey and Bilbao will be supported by the Foundation in order to raise funds to support its overall aims.

The 2016 Tour De Sez will take place in September.  It will last for 7 days and comprise 75  like-minded individuals cycling to Bilbao before returning to Guernsey.

I am a provisional member of the 2016 team and am extremely proud to be so; however, I need to raise a minimum of £1,750 in sponsorship for me to take part. I am pledging to cover the total amount that it will cost the charity for me to take part, so all the sponsorship I raise will go directly to the charity.
