Charity cycle ride around Canterbury, Herne Bay and Whitstable in aid of the Lady Mayoress' Charity, supporting Help for Heroes, the Strode Park Foundation and Whitstable RNLI.

Get on your bike on Sunday 15 May and join in with a fun day out to raise money for three very deserving charities!

The Lady Mayoress of Canterbury, Barbara Todd, has set up the three town tour, a 23-mile cycle ride taking in the whole district.

It features a circular route from Canterbury to Whitstable to Herne and back to Canterbury on dedicated cycle paths. The route will be signposted the whole way.

There are three start points – the city council offices in Military Road in Canterbury, Gorrell Tank car park in Whitstable and Strode Park in Herne. Refreshments will be available at all three locations. Parking is free at Canterbury but there are charges at the coastal points.

The ride is open to everyone, with a donation of £10 for adults and £5 for children. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Every single penny raised from registration will go towards the three charities.

Everyone who registers will receive a welcome pack with a route map, a card for stamping when you complete each stage of the ride, cycling safety information, advice on what to wear and information about the charities. All riders must register in advance of taking part.

Then, once you've completed the full route, you'll be given a certificate to mark your achievement.

We also hope riders will get some sponsorship as well, so we can raise as much money for charity as possible.

So why not come and get involved in what will be a great day out for the whole family, while enjoying some fresh air in the beautiful Canterbury district countryside and supporting three worthwhile causes.

Please ensure you add your name and the names of all the cyclists taking part from your group in the message box so we know who to expect on the day.
