This year I am supporting Simon Adams (previous Head of PE at Parkside and who has more recently worked with Plymouth Tuition Service and as the Head of the Mannamead Centre) who has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. His prognosis is not good, 50% of sufferers die within 14 months of diagnosis and Simon has the most vigorous form of the disease called Progressive Bulbar Palsy (PBP). Simon would like to spend his remaining time raising awareness and supporting research into the disease.
This month I will be running the Plymouth half marathon in aid of this cause and if you could find it in your hearts to support me I would be very grateful.
