Hello there - brief training update! its going well - i cycled Wetherby to Alston ( just over 100 miles) on Saturday. Dont worry i have done more than just that though! See new photos for proof that it hurt, but not as you would expect...

As you may know already, I have always wanted to do this cycle ride but until now I haven't ever managed to put words in to action. 

With Ross' help I will complete this challenge and hopefully make a few pounds for the ICU at Newcastle General Hospital along the way.

I have been in training since the 1st week of March and things are coming along slow but steady. I aim to complete the distance in 12 days between the dates of July 30th and 15th August this year.

I suffered a minor setback last week as my bike was stolen, fortunately i have another reserve bike which will suffice for now. Have a look at the saddle on it in the photos - ouch!

I will have another webpage set up soon where you can monitor my training progress if you are so inclined. Details to follow in the next couple of weeks. Details of my exact route will also follow very soon.
