Lara's FAST24

FAST24 · 18 November 2017
Hi! Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page!
Warwick Unicef on Campus is such a great source of inspiration that I decided to join their campaigns to help children all over the world.
This autumn, the Eastern Caribbean suffered unprecedented devastation. Hurricane Irma was a category 5 hurricane that caused extreme damage for 1.36 million people, of whom more than 339,000 were children. Irma was quickly followed by Hurricane Maria -- another category 5 hurricane. In Barbuda, 95% of buildings were destroyed or damaged. In Anguilla and St. Maarten, over 90% of buildings and schools suffered damage.
Through FAST24 (where all team members go without food for 24 hours on November 18th), I am fundraising to support Unicef's efforts in disaster relief. This includes "provision of, and access to, safe water, sanitation and hygiene supplies; prevention of the outbreak of water-borne diseases; support for the reopening of early childhood development facilities and schools; provision of psycho-social support for children" and more.
Thank you so much for donating! Anything is great! It is all for a great cause!
Thank you! - Lara
