Story
Here's the post of a happy finisher of an injury free London marathon. Thanks everyone for the the support so far, and hope some of you were there in the beautiful weather and the fantastic atmosphere.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Finally it's my turn to take on the challenge and become a Forest Gump. I'm not referring to the shrimp business or the table tennis but to waking up one morning and deciding to run. Run beyond the pain threshold of the legs and take it to the level where only the motivation and a higher cause can help in overcoming the harsh reality of the aching legs, joints and the burning muscles. Loads of endorphins and the ice bath will hopefully help me recover the following weeks. Yes you've guessed it, it is my first marathon.
Funny how i got myself in this position. In less than three months I'll just need to fix a limping leg, get through the rigours of the early morning and late night trainings and last but not least getting the support to raise the donations to qualify. Running for a charity gives an added challenge and responsibility. Some of us do not get a choice to running a marathon, and simple everyday task become the challenge of the lifetime. The end result is the same, pushing ourselves beyond the limits of what we thought is possible and emerge as a new person withpossibilities we have not even dared to dreaming possible.
Please help me achieve the target and offer a chance to people who do exceptional efforts to conduct a normal life. All donations are very much appreciated, even the smallest amounts. Your donation will go a long way... literally. Please stay tuned in and will update you on the progress.
