The current Scout Hut on Hall Lane, Lathom, is the headquarters of Ormskirk District Scouts and is in a severe state of disrepair and a new HQ is desperately needed to serve the needs of the local scouts.

Also, in the recently published Lathom Parish Plan the local community expressed a strong interest for a community centre which would benefit the local population and could be used for a wide range of activities including youth groups, fairs, markets and evening classes.

The Scout Hut has been identified as the best site to serve both the local Scouts and community. In a joint initiative between the community and the Scouts we are looking to build a new hall on the site of the existing Scout Hut and this hall will be for the benefit of the whole community for years to come.

To demolish the existing building, build a new structure and to furnish it with fixtures and fittings the total cost will be approximately £444,000......that's 4 the Community, 4 the Scouts and 4 Lathom.....show your support for Lathom Centenary Hall now and donate what you can.
