On 21st May I will be walking from Leeds to Barnsley in order to raise money for Alzheimers Society. I will be joining over 1000 of my colleagues from HSBC UK in taking part in a leg of 'Hike it or Bike it' in support of this great charity.

I am sure you all know someone who has been affected by this terrible disease in one way or another. Just £21 will pay for a Dementia support worker for someone who has just received a diagnosis of Dementia, who will spend an hour with them at their home and provide practical and emotional support.

There are currently 850,000 people in the UK affected by Dementia and our partnership will help to make sure these people get the support they need.
