As many of you may or may not know after having Oliver in March 2013 i was very ill, which resulted in me spending three weeks on the high dependency unit at BWH.

When i was readmitted my body had gone into septic shock and many of my major organs had started to shut down.

The care that I and my family received was second to none. They looked after us all. From providing my parents with "a bed and breakfast" so they could stay with me to making me feel like i was the only patient in the hospital.

There are two reason i am doing the Birmingham half:

1. To raise funds for a fantastic hospital

2. To prove to myself that nothing can beat me
