Story

To my lovely family, friends, colleagues and anyone else who wants to donate...

I am running the Brighton Half Marathon on the 19th February 2012 to raise money for the amazing St Wilfrids Hospice in Eastbourne in loving memory of my beautiful, brave Dad, Paul Burton, who passed away a few months ago aged 56.

St Wilfrid's Hospice provided my Dad with the very best care we as a family could have hoped for. When he was too ill to come home, they allowed us to bring home to him. We spent all our days and evenings at the hospice and they welcomed my family including his two little grandchildren everyday. The staff laughed with us and cried with us and were utterly lovely in every way.

Dad was a wonderful, brave, loving man and everybody's friend and is very sadly missed by us all, every single day.

Having had baby Poppy a few months ago, sleep deprivation and limited time is making training minimal-eeek! Im going to give it my best shot though! Donations from family and friends to date total £1300 from his funeral collection, I am determined to keep this total rising!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
