Running challenge for Teenage Cancer Trust

When Ricki told me he had terminal cancer back in December 2016 I didn't know what to do with myself. The only thing I could think of to do was to spend as much time as I could with him and set myself a fundraising challenge in his memory.
In the month that he had left I spent nearly every evening at the hospital and we made some wonderful memories that I will never forget. Ricki was on the TYA ward at the BRI which is funded by Teenage Cancer Trust. Having seen the great facilities that they provide I decided to fundraise for them.
Ricki passed away in January 2017 aged just 25.
Last year I ran 4 half marathons in 6 months and managed to raise £2,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust. This year I am finally taking on the marathon challenge by running the London Marathon on the 22nd April. I hope to have raised £3,000 by the time I finish the marathon.
To quote from Ricki's blog which he wrote throughout his battle with cancer: "If anyone wanted a good charity to donate to, then I can honestly say check out the Teenage Cancer Trust. I don't know quite how I would be coping without some of the facilities and support I have received from them is the honest truth. I think I'd be lost."
