Near the end of February next year (date to be confirmed) a group of approximately 20 very brave people (names to follow) will be doing a 10,000ft freefall parachute jump to raise money for Clatterbridge Cancer Research.
CCR are a charitable organisation committed to advancing the regional fight against cancer. For nearly 30 years they have been working in the North West of England funding world class research to further our understanding of how to prevent and diagnose cancer, and how to treat it with the most effective ongoing care.
Nowadays, everybody knows somebody who has been effected by cancer in one way or another and we feel that anything we can do (including jumping out of a plane haha) to raise funds and the profile of CCR will benefit people now and also in the future.
We aim to raise approximately £400 per person to cover the cost of the skydive and be able to give 50% of the funds to CCR. Obviously any extra funds raised will go straight to the charity! So the more sponsorship the better!! PLEASE dig seriously deep haha! The link to our Just Giving page will pe posted here very soon...
We are organising a few fund raising events at the moment to help boost the overall sponsorship total! Including a final party after the skydive so that friends and family can help to give one final push to raise those much needed funds!! Further details will be sent out to all fan members as soon as they are available through Facebook.
