Adidas Women's 5K Challenge 2009 · 6 September 2009 ·

OCD-UK is a leading national charity and an independent service-user led organisation working with and for children and adults affected by Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

Those of you who know me well will know I'm definitely not a natural born runner; I was always the wheezy one at the back in PE classes. ;) Which is why it's out of character for me to get my running gear on and take part in the Adidas Women's 5k Challenge on September 6th.

I am running for OCD-UK (www.ocduk.org), which is the leading national charity, independently working with and for people with OCD. The charity's mission is to advance awareness of, and support those affected by, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I believe that more people should be made aware of what OCD is beyond the 'stereotypes' we see in the media, as this is a cause that is very close to my heart, being a sufferer myself.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: OCD-UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please show me your support by sponsoring me, and you can leave messages too if you like! :)
