Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi Guys, I am running the London Marathon 2010 for the Lily Foundation (http://www.thelilyfoundation.org.uk/) . The foundation was set up in 2007, after the death of 7 month old Lily from Mitochondrial Disease, please check out the website for her story: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sI8HI4AMvfA
Mitochondrial disease in short, is the body's genetic inability to release enough energy from fuel needed to support its systems.
The Lily foundation is trying to raise not only awareness for this new charity and disease, but funds for more research, and a gene testing kit at Guys and St Thomas' hospital, which will enable many to be tested for mitochondrial disease, which affects children and adults alike, and hopefully one-day lead to a cure of the diesease
Please help me to raise a target of £2000.00 for my contributions to this largely unknown but very worthwile charity.
