We are aiming to raise awareness about homelessness in Nottingham and raise some money to support the great work that Framework does to address the needs of homeless people and their efforts in tackling the root causes behind being homeless! 

Homelessness is a complicated issue which is affected by many different things.  However if you only remember three things...

ONE:

Homelessness can happen to anyone. We are all just a crisis away from becoming homeless...A failed relationship, a job loss, a death. It could happen to anyone, even you...

 

TWO:

There's more to homelessness than sleeping on the street. Sleeping rough is just the most visible aspect of homelessness.  But if you haven't got a house, what else haven't you got? A family? Support? Friendship? Security?

THREE:

Tackling homelessness takes more than a roof. Family breakdown, addiction, mental illness and abuse are the some of the main causes of homelessness. Getting a roof over your head is a start: then you can begin to tackle the real causes.
