So this Summer I've decided to take on the crazy callenge of a 46 Mile RUN in aid of The Jon Egging Trust as part of a team from the University of London Air Squadron! · 9 April 2013
So this Summer I'm taking part in some crazy challenges in aid of The Jon Egging Trust! It really is a worthy cause and needs your support to achieve the great things it has planned! It must be great because I've decided to RUN 46 Miles across the evergreen fields of Cambridgeshire in the Pathfinder March AND in case that doesn't tire me out... I'm climbing the three peaks too amongst other things!! Show me the pennies and we'll be forever greatful! You can even bring me a brew to one of the events if you like... ;)
What is the Jon Egging Trust I hear you say?
Jon Egging was a red arrows pilot who tragically lost his life in an accident whilst performing with the world famous red arrows, in August 2011. Flt Lt Egging was passionate about inspiring young people through a love of flying and enthusiasm for teamwork. The Jon Egging Trust was set up by his wife, Dr Emma Egging, to realise his dream. The Trust has developed an exciting and unique youth engagement programme – Blue Skies – which provides new opportunities to help disadvantaged young people achieve their full potential.
The University of London Air Squadron aim to raise a whopping £10000 for the charity which means around £100 each! I believe we can smash this target with your help! This emerging charity needs our help and you really will see the results! So dig deep, we're counting on you!!
