Hi!

On the 27th June I will be part of 'Team Jackie' racing around the Isle of Wight in a sailing boat in the 'Round the Island Race'. Amateurs take between 6-9 hrs to finish and pro's do it in under 4hrs. (So we're obviously aiming for 3!) ;)

As you know, I'm not a sailor and I don't spend an awful lot of time out at sea so I'm expecting a whole day of sailing to be quite challenging as well as a massive amount of fun. Anna and myself will be having a few hours out on a sailing boat before hand to literally 'learn the ropes' so that we can give the race our best shot and avoid any accidents or sea dunks! Hopefully we won't get sea-sick or eaten by sharks and will cross the finishing line in a good time!

Keech is the local hospice to my area and provides fantastic care for adults and children with a life limiting illness. Myself and lots of people I know have been touched by the amazing work that the Keech do.
