I am running the Prague Marathon in memory of my mum. When I was just three years old she past away from Breast Cancer, starting with primary Breast Cancer she fought as hard as she could to overcome this horrible disease so that our family would not lose her. But secondary Breast Cancer hit and time was running out, all those years ago we did not have the amazing drugs we have today. We didn't think that by 2050 we'd find a cure and that there would be a last one, but look where we are now! 

We can see it in our sights, to make Breast Cancer curable, we just need the funding to make it happen.

I've lived my life without one of the most important people in it, My Mum wasn't there and see me grow up, see me get my A levels and head to University because of Cancer. My mum was a healthy person, who didn't drink excessively or smoke, but still Cancer isn't picky, it can affect anyone and everyone which is why it is so important we find a cure by 2050 and that there is a last one. I don't want others to experience what my Mum had to go through and I don't want others to live their lives without their parent.

 I know I am not alone in saying I've lost someone to Cancer and I know I won't be alone when I cross that finish line with the 30 odd Kent students beside me. I am not only taking on this challenge because of my Mum, but also because I want to challenge myself, I want to be able to say I was able to run a Marathon at 20, I was able to tick something off my bucket list and experience the most amazing opportunity of raising over£1,000 for charity! 

I know you think I'm crazy and I know you probably think HOW IS SHE GOING TO RUN A MARATHON?! (I'm thinking the same thing) BUT... with over 30 of us Kent students running, we are going to have training sessions every week and gym sessions twice a week! 

I absolutely cannot wait to get started - so PLEASE donate as much as possible to help me reach my target and hit the big 1300!!
